webXcentric was originally established in March 2000, with the specific brief of solving real world business problems concerned with the management of information and workflow over the Internet.

Between March 2000 and August 2001, webXcentric was focussed on research and development of its product range and engaged in a continual review process with selected prospective clients. A provisional patent application was filed in December 2001 covering aspects of the product design and an early adopter marketing program was commenced in March 2002.
